Being born and raised in Jamaica has had a huge effect on how I view food. Growing up I was able to go in my yard and pick a fruit from a tree and enjoy it, as it was meant. Those very vivid memories had a lasting impression and help shaped my vision when preparing food or thinking of my next dish. After migrating to the US with my family I eventually joined the US Air Force. There I was lucky enough to travel the world, and I was able to explore many different cultures. During my travels I gained an understanding of how important food is and how it connects us all despite our different languages and cultures. By combining fundamental skills learned at Le Cordon Bleu; my experiences working and learning under highly skilled chefs in France; and my own childhood experiences, I intend to offer a unique, eclectic and unforgettable dining experience.
